Managing Pop-Up Blockers

Pop-ups are used throughout PointClickCare.

To fully use the application, set your internet browser to allow pop-ups from PointClickCare. This quick reference guide provides the options to allow pop-ups in Chrome.

NOTE: Third party security applications and browser tool bars can contain pop-up blockers. If a third-party tool bar for example, Yahoo or Google is installed on your browser, ensure these are turned off. Activate these changes by closing the browser and re-opening.

For Chrome:

To always allow pop-ups from a particular site:

• In the upper right corner of Chrome, click the Chrome menu
• Select Settings
• Click Show advanced settings
• Under Privacy, click the Content settings
• Under Content Setting, click Pop-ups
• Under Allow, click Add
• Type [*.]pointclickcare.com
• Click Add

You can also manually allow pop-ups from a site:

• At the end of the address bar, click the pop-up blocker icon
• Click the link for the pop-up window you want to see
• To always see pop-ups for the site, select Always show pop-ups from [site].
• The site is added to the exceptions list, which you can manage in the Content Settings dialog box

For Internet Explorer:

To always allow pop-ups from a particular site:

• Select Tools
• Select Internet Options
• Select Privacy
• Select Turn on Pop-up Blocker
• Click Settings
• Type *.pointclickcare.com in Address of websites to allow
• Click Add
• Click Close Click Close
• Click OK
